MATE ROV Competition

The Port Townsend STEM Club started a MATE ROV team in 2014. In this competition students design a underwater robot otherwise known as an ROV to complete simulated real world tasks based on a theme. The teams also need to create a comprehensive business model based on funding their team and marketing their robot. Check out this video featuring the PT STEM Club’s team the Sea Dragons!

The Sea Dragons have achieved many accomplishments in their four years including winning their State Championships in 2019 and winning 4th and 7th at the MATE International ROV Championships in 2018 and 2019. Go Sea Dragons!
